There are areas with some mild jump scares and some actual panic-inducing rooms that play on a common human fear, such as being trapped or drowning. It's important to note that this game is more creepy than full-blown horror. This makes it so you both have to keep the conversation on topic instead of diffusing the tension with chatter about other things. You both have clues that will help the other escape, and so you must constantly be communicating about the game itself.
